6.37 grams of a piece that looks like fabric. The Rendas translates the logic of crochet and bobbin lace into 3D printing: a radial mesh of irregular openings that stretches out to cut, pointed edges.
For those who love a nod to handcraft. It’s the most sentimental ring in the collection — people who know bobbin lace react to it differently, because the piece evokes a hand technique without imitating it. It works well with plain clothing, for anyone who wants the detail on their hand.
The formal principle. Traditional lace is born of manual repetition: knots, loops and voids that accumulate into a pattern. The Rendas absorbs that vocabulary without depending on the hand — the woven mesh and irregular points are calculated geometry, not textile improvisation. It is the handcraft gesture rebuilt by another route.
Made in your size, ring sizes 12 to 24, ready in 1 business day.
Measure across the knuckle, not the base of the finger. It’s the most common mistake: people measure the base, order the right size for the base, and the ring won’t go over the knuckle. The ring has to pass the widest point — and that point is the knuckle.
How to measure with string or a strip of paper 1. Wrap the string around your knuckle, at its widest point. 2. Mark where it meets and lay it flat on a ruler. 3. That measurement in millimetres is the circumference. Check the chart below.
How to measure using a ring that already fits Measure the inside diameter of the ring, from edge to edge on the inside, in millimetres. Check the second column of the chart.
Two things that change the result Measure at the end of the day — fingers swell during the day and in the heat, and a ring that fits in the morning can feel tight at night. And if your knuckle is much wider than the base of your finger, the ring will be a little loose at the base. That is normal and expected: it’s the price of getting it on.
Between two sizes? Choose the larger one.
Still unsure? Choose the closest size and order with confidence: if it’s wrong, we exchange it once, at no cost for the piece.

Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what lets a piece with this much volume weigh around 6 grams.
If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.
How do I know my size?
Measure your knuckle with a piece of string, at its widest point — not the base. The full guide is on this page, with a conversion chart.
What if I get the size wrong?
We exchange it once: we print a new piece in the right size, at no cost for the piece. You only pay shipping both ways.
How long does it take?
Every ring is made in your size and is ready in 1 business day.
Can it get wet?
Better not. Take it off to wash your hands and shower, and keep it away from pools and the sea.
My size isn’t among the options.
We make sizes 12 to 24 — a wider range than most brands, precisely because larger sizes are hard to find. If yours is outside that range, talk to us.
Measure across the knuckle, not the base of the finger: the knuckle is what the ring has to pass. The size guide gives the Brazilian ABNT NBR 16058 sizes, 12 to 24, with approximate US equivalents (about US 6 to 10¾).
We exchange it once, with a new piece and no charge for the piece. Shipping both ways is on you.
Rings are always printed to order, in your size: one business day until dispatch.
It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.
Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.
Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.
