The Metaball in two readings at once: a dark, textured body, with details in a metallic colour printed together with the piece. 4.9 grams per earring — denser than the plain version, and still a fraction of what it would be in metal.
For those who want contrast. The two-tone finish makes the piece work in two ways depending on the light: sober in shadow, with a point of shine in the sun or under direct light. It’s an earring for an occasion, without becoming a party piece.
The formal principle. The Metaball’s fusion of volumes gains a second layer of information. Where the plain version delivers one continuous form, the Duo separates body from surface — two colours reading the same geometry, in the same piece and the same process.

FAQ
Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. And it is precisely because it isn’t metal that a piece this size weighs so little.
If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.
Will it hurt my ear? Can it cause an allergy?
The post is stainless steel, specified as anti-allergy. Weight is the other half of the answer: an earring this size in metal easily goes over 20 g each, which pulls on the piercing all day.
Can it get wet?
Better not. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea.
How long until it arrives?

Is it heavy on the ear?
The weight in the specifications above is always per earring — it's what each ear carries. The pieces are hollow, which keeps them light even at larger scales.
How long until it leaves the studio?
Ready-to-ship pieces leave as soon as payment is confirmed. Made-to-order pieces take one to three business days.
Is this plastic?
It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.
Can it get wet?
Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.
Can it take heat?
Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.
