The Supercoil is the Coil taken to the limit: two spiral loops, 73 cm for the larger one, a more generous cross-section, more presence on the neckline. It is still an adjustable piece: the elements are separate, joined by cotton thread, and you settle the drape with your hands.

It’s the most imposing piece in the collection, and still wearable, which is exactly the point. A sculpture at this scale in silver would weigh over a kilo and would live in a display case, not around a neck.

FAQ

Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what allows a piece at this scale to exist: the same form in silver would weigh over 400 g and be impossible to wear.

If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.

Is it easy to close on my own?
Yes. The clasp is magnetic — bring the two ends together and it closes. No mirror, no fumbling behind your neck, no asking for help.

I have a pacemaker. Can I wear it?
The piece contains a magnet. Anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator should consult their doctor first.

Can it get wet?
No. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea. The thread that joins the elements is cotton and shouldn’t be soaked.

How long is it?
The photos show the piece being worn, which is the best reference for where it sits on the body. If you have any doubts about the length before buying, talk to us.

How is it different from the Coil?
The Supercoil is bigger: 73 cm against 71, with a sturdier cross-section and much more presence on the neckline. If you want the same language at a more discreet scale, the Coil is the one.

Is it very heavy?
It’s 171 g, spread across the whole piece and resting on the neckline — not weight concentrated at one point, as with a pendant. The same piece in metal would weigh over a kilo.
