A square designer ring, 3.3 centimetres on each side, weighing 13 grams. The brown frame is textured — its surface keeps the print layers — and inside it a sand-toned pyramidal core catches the light. It reads instantly, and that reading gives the piece its name: a sculpted chocolate bonbon, cut in half.
It is the sturdiest of the KUBOLAB rings, and it still weighs 13 grams. The same mass in silver would be over 60 g: a ring you wouldn’t wear for a whole day. This one you wear without remembering it’s there.
The form. The contrast isn’t one of colour, it’s one of finish. The frame is matte and rough; the core is smooth and light, and sits back. One frames the other without touching it, and the gap between them is what separates the two readings — without it, it would be a block. The texture of the frame is the print layer left visible, not an effect applied afterwards.
For those who want a dressed hand. The Chocolate isn’t discreet and doesn’t try to be. It’s the ring for someone who wears a single piece and wants it seen, and it works especially well with neutral clothing and hands that already carry some history — the volume keeps them company, it doesn’t compete.
Made in your size. You choose your ring size, from 12 to 24, and it is printed for your hand. Ready in 1 business day.
Measure across the knuckle, not the base of the finger. It’s the most common mistake: people measure the base, order the right size for the base, and the ring won’t go over the knuckle. The ring has to pass the widest point — and that point is the knuckle.
With string or a strip of paper: wrap it around the knuckle at its widest point, mark where it meets and lay it flat on a ruler. That measurement in millimetres is the circumference, and the size chart converts it into a ring size.
Using a ring that already fits: measure the inside diameter, from edge to edge on the inside, in millimetres.
Measure at the end of the day — fingers swell during the day and in the heat. Between two sizes, choose the larger one. And if your knuckle is much wider than the base of your finger, the ring will be a little loose at the base: that’s normal, it’s the price of getting it on.
Still unsure? Choose the closest size and order with confidence: if it’s wrong, we exchange it once, at no cost for the piece.
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what lets a piece with this much volume weigh so little.
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.
Measure the knuckle with a piece of string, at its widest point — not the base. The full guide is on this page.
We exchange it once: we print a new piece in the right size, at no cost for the piece. You only pay shipping both ways.
Every ring is made in your size and is ready in 1 business day.
Better not. Take it off to wash your hands and shower, and keep it away from pools and the sea.
We make sizes 12 to 24 — a wider range than most brands, precisely because larger sizes are hard to find. If yours is outside that range, talk to us.
Yes. The print layers are left visible on the frame — that is the piece’s finish, not a flaw. No KUBOLAB piece is sanded.
Measure across the knuckle, not the base of the finger: the knuckle is what the ring has to pass. The size guide gives the Brazilian ABNT NBR 16058 sizes, 12 to 24, with approximate US equivalents (about US 6 to 10¾).
We exchange it once, with a new piece and no charge for the piece. Shipping both ways is on you.
Rings are always printed to order, in your size: one business day until dispatch.
It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.
Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.
Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.
For now, the website only ships to addresses in Brazil. For an order from abroad, write to studio@kubolab.com.br or message us on WhatsApp: we arrange shipping and payment case by case.
