2.4 grams. The Palitos is density made of line, not mass: dozens of linear elements cross in every direction until they form a cluster that looks solid but is almost all empty space.
For those who love graphic shapes. It’s the most drawn earring in the collection — straight lines, angles, not a single curve. It works especially well with structured tailoring, and it’s the piece that tends to appeal to people who work in architecture, design or the visual arts, because its logic is constructive and plain to see.
The formal principle. The lattice is the vocabulary of structural architecture and constructivist drawing, where repeating linear elements is a principle of support, not a decorative device. Every intersection carries part of the visual balance; remove one line and the whole comes apart.
Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. And it is precisely because it isn’t metal that a piece this size weighs so little.
If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.
Will it hurt my ear? Can it cause an allergy?
The post is stainless steel, specified as anti-allergy. Weight is the other half of the answer: an earring this size in metal easily goes over 20 g each, which pulls on the piercing all day.
Can it get wet?
Better not. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea.
How long until it arrives?
If it’s in stock, it ships the same day. Made to order, it’s ready in 1 to 3 business days.
How many pieces come in the box?
The pair.
Stainless steel, specified to our supplier as anti-allergy.
The weight in the specifications above is always per earring — it's what each ear carries. The pieces are hollow, which keeps them light even at larger scales.
Ready-to-ship pieces leave as soon as payment is confirmed. Made-to-order pieces take one to three business days.
It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.
Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.
Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.
For now, the website only ships to addresses in Brazil. For an order from abroad, write to studio@kubolab.com.br or message us on WhatsApp: we arrange shipping and payment case by case.
