For those who like a raw piece. The Chunk isn’t delicate and doesn’t try to be. It has visible mass, deliberate imbalance and no symmetry at all. It’s for someone who dresses simply and wants one thing out of place.

The clasp is magnetic: bring the ends together and it closes.

The formal principle. If the Metaball investigates organic cohesion, the Chunk investigates what happens when that cohesion is disturbed. The asymmetric aggregation isn’t a failure of the system — it’s another system. The imbalance is the design.

FAQ

Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what allows a piece at this scale to exist: the same form in silver would weigh over 400 g and be impossible to wear.

If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.

Is it easy to close on my own?
Yes. The clasp is magnetic — bring the two ends together and it closes. No mirror, no fumbling behind your neck, no asking for help.

I have a pacemaker. Can I wear it?
The piece contains a magnet. Anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator should consult their doctor first.

Can it get wet?
No. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea. The cord is waxed cotton and shouldn’t be soaked.

How long is it?
