Dozens of fine threads growing in a spiral from a common centre, forming a surface that looks like fabric — not plastic. At 7 centimetres, 18.89 grams, held by a magnet.

For those who want texture, not shine. The MeFuzz doesn’t reflect: it absorbs light. Up close it looks like fur or felt, and that ambiguity is what draws people in to work out what the piece is made of. It looks especially good on plain, dark fabric.

The formal principle. Most 3D-printed pieces show the surface typical of the process: visible layers, a continuous finish. The MeFuzz reverses that. Each thread is printed as an independent filament, thin enough to behave like a textile fibre — the result denies the immediate reading of a printed object.

FAQ

Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what lets a 7-centimetre brooch weigh 15 grams.

Will it make holes in my clothes?
No. The clasp is magnetic: one magnet sits inside the piece and another behind the fabric. You can wear it on silk, fine jersey and knitwear without leaving a mark.

Does it hold well?
Yes, on fabrics of normal weight. On very thick fabric — a heavy wool coat, leather — the distance between the magnets increases and the hold weakens.

I have a pacemaker. Can I wear it?
The piece contains a magnet. Anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator should consult their doctor first.

If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.

How long until it arrives?
If it’s in stock, it ships the same day. Made to order, it’s ready in 1 to 3 business days.

Do the threads come loose or fray?
No. Every thread is part of a single piece, printed as one block — no assembly, glue or joins. Just avoid forcing or bending it.

Details

Will it make holes in my clothes?

No. The brooch closes with magnets: one part sits on top of the fabric and the other underneath.

I have a pacemaker. Can I wear it?

The clasp is magnetic. If you have a pacemaker or another implanted device, talk to your doctor first.

How long until it leaves the studio?

Ready-to-ship pieces leave as soon as payment is confirmed. Made-to-order pieces take one to three business days.

Is this plastic?

It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.

Can it get wet?

Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.

Can it take heat?

Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.

Do you ship outside Brazil?

For now, the website only ships to addresses in Brazil. For an order from abroad, write to studio@kubolab.com.br or message us on WhatsApp: we arrange shipping and payment case by case.
