The Ouriço is a sequence of radial forms fused into a single arc: extensions leave each core in every direction, and the whole wraps the neckline without seams, with a silhouette that changes with the light and the angle.

For those who want volume on the neckline. It’s a piece for neutral clothing underneath and nothing else on top. It works especially well with a straight neckline and a simple collar, where the arc has room to stand on its own.

The clasp is magnetic: you can close it yourself, no mirror needed.

The formal principle. Defence by radial proliferation is a solution nature has repeated many times — sea urchin, cactus, seed. The piece borrows that geometry and empties it of function: what was protection becomes rhythm.

FAQ

Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. That is what allows a piece at this scale to exist: the same form in silver would weigh over 400 g and be impossible to wear.

If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.

Is it easy to close on my own?
Yes. The clasp is magnetic — bring the two ends together and it closes. No mirror, no fumbling behind your neck, no asking for help.

I have a pacemaker. Can I wear it?
The piece contains a magnet. Anyone with a pacemaker or defibrillator should consult their doctor first.

Can it get wet?
No. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea. The cord is waxed cotton and shouldn’t be soaked.
