2.25 grams in a volume that looks solid. The Slots is made of curved planes that cross and overlap, creating inner depth — and it’s that depth, not mass, that gives the impression of weight.
For those who like a piece that changes with the angle. From the front the Slots reads as a closed volume; from the side, it reveals the gaps between the planes. It’s an earring that rewards a second look, which is why it works so well up close — at the table, in a meeting, over dinner.
The formal principle. The geometry starts from a principle of interlacing: planes competing for the same space and finding a way to coexist. At the scale of the ear, that interlacing compresses the volume to its densest point — movement captured where it folds back on itself.

FAQ
Is it plastic?
It’s PLA, a polymer made from a renewable plant source — it doesn’t come from petroleum. And it is precisely because it isn’t metal that a piece this size weighs so little.
If it’s biodegradable, will it fall apart over time?
No. PLA only breaks down in industrial composting, under controlled heat and humidity. In a drawer and in everyday wear, it is stable for years.
Will it hurt my ear? Can it cause an allergy?
The post is stainless steel, specified as anti-allergy. Weight is the other half of the answer: an earring this size in metal easily goes over 20 g each, which pulls on the piercing all day.
Can it get wet?
Better not. Take it off to shower and swim, and keep it away from pools and the sea.

Is it heavy on the ear?
The weight in the specifications above is always per earring — it's what each ear carries. The pieces are hollow, which keeps them light even at larger scales.
How long until it leaves the studio?
Ready-to-ship pieces leave as soon as payment is confirmed. Made-to-order pieces take one to three business days.
Is this plastic?
It doesn't come from petroleum. The piece is printed in PLA, a plant-based polymer — the same material across all of the studio's production.
Can it get wet?
Best not. Take the piece off to wash your hands, shower or swim, and leave it out of the pool and the beach. Store it dry, away from sunlight.
Can it take heat?
Up to 50 °C. Above that, PLA softens — the dashboard of a closed car in the sun goes over 60 °C, so don't leave the piece there.
